Story of the exhibit

Tõnu Paalmäe remembers: This bike was bought new in summer 1976 from the cultural goods department of the Pärnu-Jaagupi department store. There was once such a shop that sold everything from pencils and exercise books to Finnish kick sledges, bicycles and motorcycles. At first it was mine, because it was bought with money I earned debarking logs, but later it was mostly ridden by my father. It was retired around 1989, when my father stopped riding it. The big dent in the rear mudguard comes from yet another battle in my parents' domestic war – it got hit with an iron crowbar.
