Story of the exhibit
A former Swedish Air Force snow clearing machine; at the end of the 1990s it was handed over to the Estonian Defence Forces as humanitarian aid and stored at the Tapa base. It was used as a donor machine – hence the engine of the working unit has been removed. It became surplus when the fleet was renewed.
About the model
A rotary snow blower for airfields, of which about 70–80 were built in the late 1970s to order for the Swedish army on the chassis of the Scania SBA111 four-wheel-drive military truck. The snow blower is driven by a separate Scania DS14 V8 diesel engine.
