Story of the exhibit

The TA-943H3 van was designed to collect small quantities of milk from private households and carry it to the collection point. The headlight design has been modified and the milk tanks have been removed from the van; only the sink remains. The vehicle once belonged to Paide Motor Transport Base No. 10.

About the model

Production years: 1977–1979 The TA-943H3 van was designed to collect small quantities of milk from private households and carry it to the collection point at the lowest possible cost while preserving the quality of the milk. The van had a carriage-type all-metal body built on a steel tube frame. The outer skin was made of sheet steel and the inner of sheet aluminium, with foam plastic used as thermal insulation in the walls and floor. The load area was heated by a water radiator and ventilated through roof hatches. The collection area held two milk tanks, a skimmed milk tank, a water tank for washing the milk tanks, a writing desk and a cupboard for storing milk samples. The load area had windows (two on each side) and two doors (a single side door on the right and a double door at the rear).
