Fabryka Samochodów Ciéžarowych - FSC
Country: Poland
City: Lublin
The plant was founded in Lublin in 1948. From 1951 to 1959 it built clones of the Russian GAZ-51 truck under the name Lublin. In 1956 development of the ŽUK light truck began, using "Warszawa" units. The first ŽUK van went into production in 1959, and the last ones left the plant in 1998. In total almost 587,000 small trucks were built – vans, flatbeds, minibuses, fire engines and so on. The ŽUK's successor is the Lublin 2/3, still in production, which has been marketed under the Daewoo, Andoria and Intrall brands. The Lublin plant currently belongs to Intrall, a British-Russian joint company.
