Story of the exhibit

It was agreed with the previous owner that the front bumper would be removed for exhibit no. 228. But as it turned out, the bumper arrived at the Old Tech Park together with the truck. The tractor unit was probably built from a MAZ-500A flatbed: the cargo body was removed, the frame shortened and the rear axle moved forward. There are two tow hooks at the rear: a standard Soviet-era trailer hook and another suitable for towing modern light trailers. Lately the vehicle was used for internal transport at a company. In 2012, preparing for the vintage machinery parade, Joonas Kaljulaid and friends restored the truck.
