Story of the exhibit
On 23 August a МАZ-200/371 T, built in 1962 with body number 152, arrived at its new home as the 128th vehicle of the Old Tech Park. The van body mounted on the МАZ-200 frame was made at the "Uralets" plant of the Sverdlovsk Region Economic Council.
About the model
A headquarters bus on the MAZ-200 chassis. The body was made at the "Uralets" engineering plant in Kirovsk in the Sverdlovsk region.
Two such vehicles were brought to Estonia from St Petersburg; the other is also with a vintage vehicle enthusiast. Such vehicles were used at military airfields as headquarters buses or auxiliary air traffic control centres, and also to supply aircraft with oxygen (the AKDS (АКДС) mobile oxygen station produced medical oxygen straight from the air).
